Claus.... LCTS

Hi everyone. Have you seen the new LCTS sketch? If not, well... here it is :-)

I used the sketch for a layout with a photo of my son, Claus. The photo is a couple of years old. He is studying at the Pharmaceutical Faculty and at the moment he is finishing the thesis in Uganda, Africa. I miss him very much, the internet and electricity are very unstable, but we are trying to Skype now and then.
He and some friends are playing in a band, so I think the guitars fits the layout very well.

Thanks for stopping by :-D

Crafty Sketches... a little late...

I've been out of town for some days, so I'm late presenting the April Crafty sketch. The April sketch is created by Kim Kendell and I really loved working with it. Here you have my interpretation of it.

The photos are from a daytrip to a beautiful little island called Samsø. Together with 4 scrapfriends I visited a scrapshop Hobbyboden and took time for some photoshoots. I used some papers and embellishments from Webster Pages which was in a monthly kit from My Scrapbook Nook.

I used this super sketch, why not give it a try and upload your work over at Crafty sketches?

I hope you will enjoy the last day of Easter :-)

Hugs,
Kirsten

Sketches With A Twist....

I don't think it is spring that characterizes the weather today. Maybe it's because I'm not feeling quite well as I have got the flu.

Well, 1st. April means time for a new sketch from Sketches With A Twist, and here it is:

This time I decided the twist and it is: Use mesh on your project, it could be Magic Mesh, mesh from a bag of fruit or some kind of mesh you find in your household.

I dug down into the pictures from my trip to Tivoli in October 2011 and made this layout.

I used papers from the Echo Park series "A Walk In The Park". The black mesh I used as a matte the picture is from a bag of onions. I stapled the mesh to the cardstock.

The Halloween banner is from Purple Pumpkin.

It's almost Easter. I am really looking forward to some hollidays, this year I'm lucky as I don't have to go to work during the Easter, so there is plenty of time for celebration together with our family.

I wish you all a Happy Easter :-D

Hugs,
Kirsten
