I only have to sleep 6 nights before I'll be off for the 11.th Danish Scrapbooking Convention. I'm SO excited. I have signed up for a class with Céline Navarro, I'm SO excited to meet her too :-D

My DH on the back of a camel in the fringe of the Sahara Desert

I made this layout during the birthday celebrations over at Stuck?! sketches , I used bonus sketch # 2 but I didn't manage the deadline ;-D Anyway I want to show you the layout from a FANTASTIC camel-trip out in the Sahara desert many years ago. We rode out into the desert on a very, very early and totally dark morning to see the sunrise in Sahara. I just can say WAUW what an experience, - one of the greatest in my life - so far :-D

A little close-up

Later I'm going to create more layouts from the camel-trip, so now you are warned
;-D ;-D

Falconers, another Stuck?! Sketch and a little more...

The second Stuck?! sketch for September is now ready.

It is a great sketch to work with, and I used it for this layout.

30 km from where we live you find Ribe Vikingcentre. My DH find the life of the vikings very interesting, so this summer we visited the centre. One of the attractions at the centre is the falconers on the photos.

I didn't want the layout to be too feminine with a lot of flowers and so on, so instead I made these 3 felties.

I cut out the falconers from the photos and attatched them on a couple of tags made of corrugate. Bird and branch is a StampinUp punch.

On our way to Ribe Vikingcentre we wondered why there were so many police on the roads, and the closer we came to the vikingcentre the more police. When we reached our destination we found out why.

The first thing we saw outside the centre was this car - and even more police, then we realized that a very famous woman had got the same idea as us. The car is called Crown 1 and belongs to the Queen of Denmark ;-D

This was a big surprise, and of course we took a lot of photos. She was just walking among tourists, the staff from the centre, policemen, horses, people dressed like vikings and geese ;-D

- and here you see her majesty the Queen of Denmark

The royal family - especially our fantastic crown prinsess Mary (from Tasmania) - is very, very popular, so it was quite an experience to get that close to the Queen and her husband Prins Henrik.

Right now it is a real autumn night here in DK,
it is storming and raining outside.
How is the weather where you live?

Layout with masking.....

The 1. of August challenge over at The Studio Challenge is:

Masking! Find something creative from around your home to use as a mask for misting, inking or painting on your layout.

This is my entry.

I cut out some butterflies printed on a big paperbag and used as masks. Afterwards I misted and painted to create the pattern.

Thanks for stopping by......

One more layout today :-D

Here you have our lovely dog, Caesar.

He has cut his paw on a piece of glass someone had thrown in the forrest. It hurts and he is rather depressed on the photos :-D

TG everything is OK now :-D

I used the Stuck?! Bonussketch no. 1.

Now it is autumn in Denmark.....

Now it is September, and it is the first autumn month in Denmark. Funny to read the Australian blogs telling about spring ;-D
Autumn is my favorite time of the year. I love all the beautiful colours and the special smell when you go out into the garden in the early morning and so on :-D

1. September also means a new Stuck?! Sketches release and here it comes:

The sketch is great and so easy to work with, so why not give it at try?

Here is my take on the sketch.

Here is a close-up, - have you noticed the little bag of spices ? ;-D

I have made a travel layout from Tunesia. I love the special Tunesian spices and a younger and slimmer me ;-D has just bought a lot of delicious spices from this little funny spiceseller. As soon as he saw my DH was going to take some photos he turned around and gave me a big hug. I'm not sure wheater he was happy for selling a lot of spices or a funny kind of actor, actually I just think he was a wonderful, kind person making fun. I just love this photo. I have the feeling of smelling the spices when I look at it ;-D

Materials: I used papers from the BasicGrey line Marocco, letters from the same line and thickers (Honey), journaling spot from Fancy Pants, flowers from Prima, the butterflies are made with a Martha Stewart punch, Zig Writer - blue, twine for the stitched border, beads, buttons and a brad from a local craft store.
